- Organizational Effectiveness
“As an engineering department manager, I benefitted from working closely with Kit during the past 12 years. During this time we worked together to address employee issues ranging from the mundane to legal/ethical minefields. Kit understood how to protect Intel's interests, while being pragmatic and innovating fair solutions. She understands how to partner with a manager to achieve equitable outcomes and improve the overall performance of a team. We often tapped her Organizational engineering knowledge to effect major changes in team performance, roles, and dynamics of our business units. These spanned geographic, functional, and cultural divides. Kit is able to focus on the important and help filter the “administrivia” away from the managers she partners with. I continued to seek her counsel for "those difficult situations" after I left her business unit and still do so today, because I trust her judgment and direct feedback.”
~ Cliff Dover, Engineering Manager, Intel
Kit's Tips...
on Leadership
Think about the legacy you want to leave your team and your organization. What do you want to be remembered for? Evaluate what you are currently doing and make necessary changes.
When necessary, provide cover for people who are taking risks, trying new things, and leading change. Often bosses need to endorse or support the change in order for their peers to accept it, no matter how well people are handling the situation.
