About Kit Stookey
Kit Stookey is the founder and principal of Practical Matters Consulting, delivering organization development, training, coaching and facilitation strategies and programs in support of an organization’s business objectives.
With a background consisting of 25 years of various roles at Intel Corporation, Kit’s past experience has been highly focused on broader Human Resources Management as an internal consultant to multiple large operations divisions. In this capacity she worked with senior managers, teams and individuals sharing her expertise in all facets of HR, people development, and organizational improvement.
Kit holds a Master of Human Resources and Organization Development degree from University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Sacramento, with a concentration in Organizational Communications. She also possesses Senior Professional Human Resource (SPHR) certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI).

On a personal level, Kit is a California native from Silicon Valley and she fondly remembers when open land and fruit orchards could be found there in abundance. She now makes her home in Folsom, sharing her life with her cats, gardening and volunteering with her city’s Citizens Assisting Public Safety (CAPS) program.
